Our women’s-only adventures are created for women who want to experience Alaska in a supportive environment without compromising on adventure. From first-time guests to experienced riders, our guides meet you at your level, helping you build confidence and develop your skills along the way.

We take care of the logistics, with specialist gear and equipment, instruction, and experienced local guides included. From running your own dog team and developing your snowmobile skills to multi-day expeditions into the backcountry, these are active experiences in real Alaskan conditions, designed to help you experience more of Alaska with everything you need already taken care of.

Our women’s adventures are designed for those who want to experience more of Alaska, from trying something completely new to taking on a true backcountry expedition. Each experience offers the women-led instruction, equipment, and guidance you need, with our guides helping you progress at a level that matches your experience and confidence.

Some adventures are more physically demanding than others, with longer days, remote terrain, and changing Alaskan conditions. Check the individual adventure for experience, fitness, and age requirements before booking.

Run your own team of Alaskan huskies on this women’s-only three-day dog sled expedition through Hatcher Pass. With experienced women mushers guiding you, you’ll learn to handle your sled, work with your dogs, and travel through frozen lakes, forested trails, and mountain country before returning to the lodge each evening. No previous dog sledding experience is required, but a moderate level of fitness is recommended. Ages 18+.

Nov - Apr | 3 Days 2 Nights | $1050 pp

Experience some of Alaska’s favorite winter adventures on a three-day, two-night trip created for women and led by experienced women guides. Join us for dog sledding, snowmobiling, ice fishing, snowshoeing and chances to see the northern lights while exploring the Alaskan backcountry. Run dogs across frozen lakes before riding snowmobiles through the mountains to Snowhook Lodge on Hatcher Pass.

Spend two nights in your private cabin, enjoy hearty meals and head outside after dark to watch for the northern lights. During your stay, you’ll also try ice fishing, explore the trails on snowshoes and have time to relax in our hot tub and sauna. On your final morning, ride the snowmobiles back down the mountain toward Willow, with one last chance to enjoy the snowy Alaska landscape.

Our women’s adventures can include dog sledding, snowmobiling and multi-day backcountry expeditions, with new experiences added as they become available. Each one offers a different way to get outside and experience Alaska.
Our adventures explore some of the incredible winter landscapes around Hatcher Pass and farther into the Alaskan backcountry. Some expeditions can take you well beyond the road system into remote parts of Alaska.
Weather, snow and trail conditions are part of travelling in Alaska. Our guides may adjust routes, timings or activities when necessary to make the most of the conditions and operate the adventure safely.
Age requirements vary by adventure. Some of our more demanding backcountry expeditions have a minimum age of 18, so check the individual tour before booking.
It depends on the expedition. Some experiences are designed to teach you as you go, including our Hatcher Pass dog sled expedition, while more demanding snowmobile expeditions require previous riding experience. Requirements are clearly explained on each adventure page.

Yes. Adventures listed as women’s-only are created specifically for women, and participation is limited to women. We also offer a wide range of other adventures for mixed groups, couples, families and solo travellers.
Our women’s adventures are intended to be women-led, and we aim to use women guides wherever possible. In exceptional circumstances, such as illness or unexpected staffing issues, it may be necessary for a male guide to lead or assist with an adventure.
Not necessarily. Some of our women’s adventures are suitable for first-time participants, while others require previous riding experience or a higher level of fitness. Each individual adventure explains what you’ll need before booking.
Yes. You don’t need to arrive as part of a group. These adventures can be a great way to experience Alaska alongside other women who have come for the same reason.

Yes. The specialist gear and equipment needed for your adventure is provided, along with instruction and guidance. We’ll let you know what personal clothing and other items you should bring before your trip.

We will tailor any adventure to your skills and abilities, if you have any concerns get in contact and we can advise you based on your skills, fitness, and abilites.
