We welcome a wide range of guests to Alaska, from first-time visitors to experienced adventurers. Our aim is to match each experience to your ability, comfort, and expectations so you get the most out of your trip.
Below is guidance to help you understand what to expect and how we accommodate different needs.
If you are a solo traveler or traveling with a larger group, we have an adventure for you.
Solo travellers
We specialize in hosting solo adventurers. Most tours are open for individual bookings; for multi-day adventures, feel free to contact us if you are a solo traveler. We do not have a two-person minimum.
Groups and larger parties (20+)
For groups in excess of 20 people, we recommend contacting us in advance. We can increase capacity, run parallel activities, or help plan multi-day itineraries to ensure everything runs smoothly.
We provide all essential equipment for your experience, including helmets, boots, and outerwear where required. Our gear is maintained, properly fitted, and suited to Alaskan conditions, so you can focus on the experience with confidence.
If you would like more detail on what is provided, how equipment is fitted, and what to bring with you, you can view our Equipment & Gear page below.
We offer experiences suitable for a broad range of ages, with the following guidelines:
Parents or guardians are responsible for the supervision and conduct of minors at all times, particularly around our working dog yard. If you are unsure which activities are suitable, we are happy to advise.
You do not need prior experience for most of our tours.
However, some of our expeditions and multi-day backcountry experiences are more demanding. These may require:
If you are considering a longer or more advanced trip, please contact us to confirm suitability before booking.

Our experiences are active and take place in real Alaskan conditions, so a reasonable level of fitness and mobility is required.
We accommodate a wide range of body types and provide gear in larger sizes. However, guests should be aware that activities may require getting on and off equipment unassisted and remaining active for extended periods in cold or uneven terrain.
If you have any concerns about physical suitability, we strongly recommend contacting us in advance so we can guide you toward the right experience.
For guests seeking a more relaxed option, dog sledding and UTV-based experiences are often more accessible. We can also adjust pick-up and drop-off locations to make the experience easier for some guests.
All outdoor activities in Alaska involve inherent risks due to terrain, weather, and equipment use.
For safety reasons, we reserve the right to refuse participation or modify activities if we believe a guest may be at risk to themselves or others.
We offer women-only adventures on request, designed to provide a more tailored and comfortable group environment. If this is something you are interested in, please contact us, and we can advise on availability and suitable options. Dedicated women’s-only experiences are also being expanded within our range.
We have female guides within our team, and we aim to accommodate requests for women-led experiences where possible. If this is important to you, please let us know when booking or contact us in advance, and we will do our best to arrange a suitable guide.
Your safety and enjoyment of your adventure is our top priority.
If you have any medical conditions, injuries, or concerns that may affect your participation, you must inform us before your arrival.
If you are unsure, please contact us before booking so we can advise appropriately.
Failure to disclose relevant medical conditions in advance may result in the inability to participate without refund.
Due to our remote Alaskan location and operational setup:
If you have allergies or specific requirements, please contact us before booking so we can give you the best experience possible.
We offer both fixed packages and fully tailored experiences.
If you do not see exactly what you are looking for, we can create a custom multi-day itinerary based on your group, schedule, and goals.
This is particularly useful for groups, families, or guests with specific requirements or preferences.
All guests are required to review and sign a liability waiver prior to participation.
If you are concerned about equipment or gear for your booking, we provide all necessary outdoor equipment inclusive on all adventures.
If you are unsure whether an experience is right for you, the best approach is to contact us before booking.
We have multiple adventures suitable for your Alaskan experience.
For the most flexibility and a tailored experience, we recommend private or custom bookings, especially for families, groups, or guests with specific requirements.
If you have any questions about your booking, experience suitability, or what to expect on the day, our team is here to help.
Whether it’s group size, age requirements, fitness levels, dietary needs, or gear and sizing, or something else, we’re happy to help.
You can contact us by phone or email, and we’ll make sure you have clear, practical information so you can book with confidence.
