Your journey begins with a dog sled ride led by our trained Alaskan huskies. Located near the legendary Iditarod race’s restart, the tour lets you glide across Willow’s captivating winter landscapes, guided by the power of these impressive dogs.

After a break for authentic Alaskan hospitality and a filling meal, we shift the excitement up a gear with a snowmobile tour. Our experienced guides will adjust the ride to suit your comfort and skill level, making sure you have a thrilling, yet secure journey across the snow-dusted terrains.

In our Dog Sled and ATV Adventure Tour, you’ll get to experience the Alaskan fall firsthand. The tour begins with a visit to our Iditarod dog sled kennel where you’ll encounter our friendly, energetic sled dogs. Under the autumn sky, you’ll traverse through the hilly woodland trails that the dogs know so well. This gives you a unique chance to experience dog sledding outside of the winter season.

Following your dog sledding experience, you’ll switch gears for an exhilarating ATV ride through the Talkeetna Mountains. As you navigate through the towering mountains, glaciated valleys, and mountain streams, you’ll witness Alaska’s natural beauty painted with the hues of fall.

Snowhook Lodges - Snowmobile 02

The Rainy Pass Snowmobile Expedition is a five-day adventure through Alaska’s backcountry. Starting at Snowhook HQ in Willow, guests ride snowmobiles into the Talkeetna Mountains, reaching the Snowhook Lodge for the first night. The second day features dog sledding and a snowmobile trip to Skwentna Roadhouse, offering views of Denali and the Northern Lights. Each night includes comfortable lodging and Alaskan meals.

The journey continues into the Alaska Range towards Rainy Pass, with guests staying at Perrins Rainy Pass Lodge. Activities include horse-drawn sleigh rides and ice fishing, with all equipment provided. The tour concludes with an extended snowmobile ride back to Snowhook HQ, showcasing the diverse Alaskan landscapes. This tour offers a blend of outdoor excitement and a chance to experience the unique beauty and culture of Alaska.
