Day 1: Start Your Adventure

Alaska Native Heritage Center, Eklutna ATV Ride, & Summer Dog Sledding

Your adventure starts at the Alaska Native Heritage Center, where it’s more than a museum. It’s an experience in culture, traditions, and the arts of the Native Alaskans.

From there, we’ll grab a bite to eat at the trail head before we head out on a thrilling and stunning ATV ride past the glacier blue waters of Eklutna Lake and further into the backcountry of Alaska. This stunning trip has fun trails, plenty of water to splash your ATV through, plus waterfalls and wildlife.

We’ll finish your day with a bbq dinner before you get to meet and play with our loveable sled dogs and go on a ride pulled by husky power. This experience also covers the history of sled dogs and the Iditarod!

Day 2: Into the Backcountry

Breakfast at Snowhook Lodge, Matanuska Glacier, Independence Mine, & Fishing

Day two begins with the most scenic drive in Alaska to Matanuska glacier. The road travels past rivers, with towering peaks all around, and of course, a stunning view of the glacier. From there, you’ll hike with a guide to the terminus of the glacier itself to see the blue ice up close!

In the afternoon, we’ll stop by the historic Independence Mine. This trip through the history of Alaska visits the old mine structures and ruins high in the Talkeetna Mountains.  In its heyday, this mine produced more than 34,000 ounces of gold.

Travelling over Hatcher Pass, we’ll stop on the summit for the views but also for some exceptional fishing at Summit Lake before heading back to the lodge for dinner.

Day 3: See Denali by Air

Denali Flightseeing and Talkeetna Visit

A must-do in Alaska is a fixed-wing flight around Denali and the Alaska range. Departing from Talkeetna, this breathtaking flight soars over ancient glaciers and around the mighty peaks of Alaska.

Before heading back to Anchorage, we’ll spend the rest of the day exploring the quirky town of Talkeetna. Filled with shops and natural beauty all around the town, it’s the perfect way to wrap up an adventure!
