Experience an unforgettable journey through Alaska’s landscapes with our ATV and Helicopter Combo Adventure. This unique tour lets you explore the terrain of Hatcher Pass on an ATV followed by a breathtaking helicopter tour of the Talkeetna Mountains. It’s an all-day adventure that provides a comprehensive look at the beauty of Alaska.

NOTE: There is a two person minimum on this tour. We do not provide drivers for our tours. You must be at least 18 and licensed to drive a machine.

Start your adventure with an ATV ride through the mountainous landscape of Hatcher Pass. As you navigate the trails and rivers, you’ll be rewarded with spectacular 360-degree views. Whether you’re an ATV novice or an experienced driver, our guides will ensure you’re comfortable and safe on the journey. This is then followed by a spectacular helicopter ride through the Talkeetna mountains, enabling photo opportunities and views you could only dream of.

Tour Details

The tour departs at 9 am and again at 1 pm, meeting at our base in Willow. We provide a free shuttle from our base to where the ATV adventure begins on the mountain. There’s parking for all vehicles, including RVs. The tour is suitable for all driving abilities and includes all necessary gear such as rain jackets, boots, helmets, and goggles.

Your ATV adventure will be followed by a helicopter tour. Fly through the Talkeetna Mountains, around the bend to Archangel Valley, and over to the historical Independence Mine State Park. On this one-hour tour, which includes a 20-minute ridgetop landing, you’ll see jagged mountain peaks, the Little Susitna River, Summit Lake, and even a 1956 U.S. Air Force KB-29 wreckage on Bald Mountain Ridge.

What's Included?

We provide a free shuttle to the ATV starting point and parking for all vehicles, including RVs. The ATV portion of the tour is approximately 3.5 hours. After your journey, enjoy a 1 hour helicopter ride through the Talkeetna Mountains with a 20-minute ridgetop landing. All essential gear and equipment are supplied.

Dog Sledding: If anyone in your party is uncomfortable around dogs let us know so we can make it a successful experience.

The adventure includes a 3.5-hour ATV tour in Hatcher Pass and a one-hour helicopter tour through the Talkeetna Mountains, including a 20-minute ridgetop landing.

You need to be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license to operate the ATV or UTV. However, children can ride in a UTV as long as they can properly wear a seatbelt sitting up or with a booster seat.

The ATV and Helicopter Combo Adventure tour has two departures daily at 9 am and 1 pm. We recommend arriving 30 minutes before your tour starts to check-in.

The total duration of the tour is approximately 4.5 hours: 3.5 hours for the ATV adventure and 1 hour for the helicopter tour.

We provide rain jackets, boots, helmets, and goggles. You may purchase dust masks if needed.

Yes, we offer a free shuttle service from our base in Willow to the starting point of our tours on the mountain.

No, we do not provide drivers for our tours. Participants must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver’s license to operate the ATV or UTV.

Our tours are dependent on weather conditions. In the event of severe weather, we may need to reschedule or cancel the tour. Safety is our top priority. In case of cancellations by us due to weather, a full refund or an option to reschedule will be provided.
