NOTE: We do not provide drivers for our tours. You must be at least 18 and licensed to drive a machine.

The second day of the adventure takes you to the majestic Matanuska Glacier. Here, on your hike, you’ll explore one of Alaska’s most stunning natural wonders. This glacier trek is a highlight of our backcountry adventure tour, combining the thrill of exploration with the awe of Alaska’s natural beauty. Additionally, On the third day, experience the joy of dog sledding with our Alaskan huskies. Feel the exhilaration as these powerful dogs glide you across the landscapes. The adventure concludes with a serene fishing experience at Willow’s Creek. Here, you’ll enjoy the tranquility of fishing in Alaska, trying your luck at catching local fish such as Arctic Char and rainbow trout. Our fishing guides will take you to the best fishing spots, ensuring an enjoyable and successful fishing trip.

Tour Details

Your three-day, two-night journey is an adventure filled with variety and excitement. Day one of your Alaskan adventure sets the pace with an ATV/UTV adventure in the Talkeetna mountains, part of our exciting atv tours. This is where you engage in 4 wheeling, guided by experts dedicated to 4 wheeler safety. They’ll lead you on an exhilarating exploration through the Alaskan backcountry, highlighting the best atv trails Alaska has to offer. After a day of outdoor thrills, you’ll enjoy a BBQ dinner back at the lodge, then retreat to your personal, double queen, or bunkhouse cabin for a well-earned rest.

On day two, the adventure continues with a Matanuska glacier hike. This glacier tour is a journey into the heart of Alaska’s best icy landscapes. You’ll trek across the Matanuska glacier, learning about its formation and the surrounding ecosystem. It’s an all-terrain tour that combines physical challenge with educational insights. After the glacier hike, you’ll return to the lodge for some downtime and rest before the final day’s adventures. Day three starts with a hearty breakfast and then a visit to our dog sled kennel in Willow. Here, you’ll meet and greet our team of Alaskan Huskies before setting off on a dog sledding trip, an essential Alaskan experience. You’ll learn about the dog sled breed, the mushing lifestyle, and the bond between musher and dogs. The trip concludes with a fishing experience in Willow’s Creek. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or new to the sport, our fishing guide will help you make the most of your time, offering the chance to catch Arctic Char and rainbow trout in some of the best fishing areas Alaska has to offer.

What's Included?

This tour consists of a 3.5-hour Midnight Sun ATV tour, a Matanuska Glacier Hike, a 2-hour Summer Dog Sled ride, and a Fishing trip at Willow’s Creek. We also include all gear and necessary equipment needed for the tour, as well as meals to keep you energised. We encourage you to bring a camera as this tour includes amazing opportunities for photos!

NOTES: If anyone is not comfortable driving, they may ride as a passenger, discounts are not given to those who do not wish to drive. Drivers must be 18 years or older, kids 6 and up may ride as a passenger. We do not provide drivers for our tours.
